Sharlene George

Executive Director

Since 2010 Sharlene has served as our Executive Director, following a multifaceted career in non-profit management. Sharlene oversees the overall management of the agency, as well as client services.

Derek Parker

Assistant Director

Since 2021 Derek has served as our Assistant Director. He is a local pastor who has served congregations and faith-based non-profits in eastern Indiana and western Ohio. Derek is responsible for public relations, grant writing, fund raising, and assisting the Executive Director with her duties.

In addition, Open Arms has an ever-evolving group of volunteers, college interns, and theological school interns, who make our work possible.
